As reported by The Athletic, Chelsea star Roméo Lavia has been training in virtual reality (VR) for months in preparation for his comeback 2024/25 season.
The young Belgium midfielder, who joined the Premier League club last summer, has been using the Be Your Best VR training tool to keep his cognitive abilities sharp whilst out injured.
The article reports that: "Lavia has regularly worn a VR headset to help recreate moments he is expected to face on the pitch. He has used the device to get ready for scanning where team-mates and opponents are on the field and know what his next move will be".
Lavia started all five matches on Chelsea’s U.S. pre-season tour, a good indicator that the midfielder will play a key role under new head coach Enzo Maresca this coming campaign.
Everyone at Team Be Your Best cannot wait to see Lavia back in competitive action this season.
